# Competitor review and site decisions

Written 10 October 2026. This records what was reviewed, what it showed, and why the Manitechnest site was changed the way it was. No text or images were copied from any site below: only structure and approach were studied, and all new copy is original.

## 1. What was reviewed, and how reliable it is

| Site | What was read | Reliability |
|---|---|---|
| Healthixio (best-hospital-management-software-india page) | The full page structure | Good |
| Dataman "Aarogya HMS" (hospital-software.dataman.in) | Home page and About section | Good |
| MocDoc blog | Categories, post format and menus (the first ~100,000 of ~700,000 characters of the page) | Good for structure, partial for the post list |
| NuvertOS (connect.nuvertos.com) | Only the page title came back (the page is probably built in the browser) | **Poor.** Module list taken from third-party listing sites (Capterra, SoftwareSuggest), not from NuvertOS itself |
| SnowCare HealthTech | Only the page title came back; a web search found nothing about the company | **Poor.** Only know it positions around HMIS, EMR and interoperability |

Nothing here was checked by looking at the pages in a browser, and the page reader summarises with a small model, so treat figures quoted from competitors as "what they advertise", not as fact. If NuvertOS and SnowCare matter to you, open them yourself and add notes below.

## 2. What the competitors do

**Healthixio** (a buyer-guide style page)
- Government badges (ABDM/NHA) right at the top, before any explanation.
- A "what the best HMIS must have" checklist, then a comparison table of ten vendors by use case and deployment, including a section that says when a competitor fits better. This reads as honest and earns trust.
- Nine to fifteen modules, a statistics strip, an FAQ on selection criteria, **pricing and cloud versus on-premise**, a published pricing table, WhatsApp and phone buttons next to the demo form, and city pages in the footer for local search.

**Dataman Aarogya HMS** (a brochure style site)
- Five menu items only: Home, About, Modules, Contact, View Demo. Very flat.
- A grid of 16 to 18 modules, a patient mobile-app promotion, emphasis on **on-premise** ("data stays in your infrastructure"), downloadable brochure and presentation, WhatsApp.
- Its five testimonials all contain the same placeholder filler text and only the star ratings differ. This is a warning of what not to do.

**MocDoc** (a content-led site)
- A blog with category filters (HMS, LIMS, clinic software, ABHA, NABH compliance, PM-JAY, specialities, case studies), posts of 1,500 to 3,000 words, a problem and solution layout, tables and bullets, three or four internal links to product pages, and a "Book a demo" at the end of every post.
- The Resources menu also holds brochures, calculators and compliance tools.

**NuvertOS / SnowCare** (limited): NuvertOS leads with a "#1 in India" ranking claim. SnowCare frames its offer as HMIS plus EMR plus interoperability.

## 3. What the successful pages have in common

1. A short menu (5 to 8 items) and a demo button that is always visible.
2. Government and standards credibility near the top (ABDM, NHA, PM-JAY, NABH).
3. A clear module list.
4. Honest buying content: checklists, comparison, pricing and deployment answers.
5. Several ways to reach the company: form, phone, WhatsApp.
6. A blog that targets what buyers search for and sends them to a demo.

## 4. Manitechnest against those patterns

| Pattern | Before | Now |
|---|---|---|
| Short menu | 7 top-level items, 4 of them dropdowns holding 13 sub-links, with several pages saying the same thing (Solutions, Services, Products, HMIS) | Still 7 top-level items, but 3 dropdowns holding 9 sub-links; Solutions merged into Services; the three trust pages merged into one |
| Credibility near the top | Present (NHA certificates, ABDM) but mixed with unprovable claims | Kept; unprovable claims removed (section 5) |
| Module list | 27 modules with search and filter | 43 modules: dental, anaesthesia, labour room, gynaecology, dialysis, ICU, physiotherapy, ENT, ophthalmology, orthopaedics and general surgery form a "Specialty care" area (already stronger than the competitors); Scan & Register, Insurance & TPA and Duty Management were added to the front-desk and admin areas; WhatsApp, SMS and Email services form a "Patient communication" area |
| Buying content | None (3 short glossary-style posts) | Buyer's checklist article; FAQ now answers pricing, deployment, security, support and claims first |
| FAQ visible in Google | No | FAQ is sent to search engines as FAQ data |
| WhatsApp | No | Button on the Contact page |
| Blog | 3 posts | 5 posts (checklist and ABDM benefits added) |

Not copied from competitors, on purpose: a "#1 in India" claim, a competitor comparison table, published prices, star ratings and testimonials. None can be supported with what is on the site today.

## 5. Copyright, trademark and honesty audit

**Changed**
- Logos for NHCX, PM-JAY, FHIR and NABL, which were "cut from a design mock-up" (per the README), and the SNOMED logo are removed. These are government marks or trademarks. The names now appear as plain text. Only the ABDM logo stays, since you hold NHA certificates for it.
- 39 unused module images were deleted (the pages never used them and their source was not recorded), plus an unused `hero.jpg`.
- The RailTel and Aprameya descriptions read like those companies' own marketing ("Mini Ratna", route-km and station counts, "top 5 distributor in Ahmedabad"). They are rewritten in plain words without figures or rankings.
- NABH and NABL were shown as things you are "integrated with". They are accreditation bodies, so they were removed from that strip. "NABH & NABL Ready" became "Supports NABH & NABL workflows", and "DPDP Compliant" became "Built for the DPDP Act".
- "ABDM Security Certified" had no certificate behind it. It was first replaced by "NHA-certified for ABDM milestones M1, M2 and M3", which your certificates show, and the whole row of ABDM, ABHA and "International standards" cards under the module grid was then removed at your request.
- The figures "500+ hospitals", "10+ years", "1M+ patients" and "99.9% uptime" could not be backed (and the founding year was still a placeholder). They are replaced by four figures the site proves itself: 3 NHA milestones, 27 modules (now 32), 3 products, 4 ISO certificates. A test fails if they ever drift from the real lists.
- The "Join 500+ hospitals" line is removed.
- Visible placeholders on public pages (`[Name]` team cards, the grievance-contact line) are now hidden until filled.

**Still needs you** (cannot be fixed by editing text)
- The privacy policy and terms still print `[retention period]`, `[Grievance officer name]`, `[date last updated]` and `[city]` as they are. Do not launch before these are filled in and a lawyer has reviewed the pages.
- Confirm you may show the ABDM, RailTel and Aprameya logos.
- The CMMI certificate file name suggests it was issued by a "UKCERT" body. CMMI results are normally published by the CMMI Institute. Confirm it can be verified there, and that the WASA certificate is what the page says, or remove those two cards.
- The "AI & Analytics" banner promises predictive analytics and revenue optimisation. Keep only what you can demonstrate in a demo.
- The home and HMIS hero pictures and `care.jpg` are concept art with no recorded source. Keep proof of who made them, or replace them. The Pexels photos are fine: the licence allows commercial use and they are listed in `docs/photo-credits.md`.
- The new FAQ answers describe how you work (written quote, cloud and on-premise, support and training). Confirm each is exactly true.
- Confirm the WhatsApp number is a live WhatsApp number.

## 6. Pages removed or merged

| Old page | What happened |
|---|---|
| `/solutions` | Merged into `/services`. Its duplicate cards (HMIS, "paperless healthcare", ABHA ID) were dropped; the ParaMedical app and the dashboards were kept as service entries. Redirects (301). |
| `/abdm-benefits` | Became the Resources article "ABDM benefits for patients, hospitals and public health". Redirects (301). |
| `/partners`, `/certifications` | Merged with `/compliance` into one "Trust and Compliance" page with jump links. Both redirect (301) to their section. |
| Home "What we do" band | Removed. It repeated the Products and ABDM sections. |
| Duplicate "HMIS" entry in the Products menu | Removed from the menu and footer (the HMIS Platform page remains; `/products/hmis` still exists). |

## 7. Not done, and worth considering next

- A real comparison or "which product is right for you" page once you can say honestly where you are not the best fit.
- A pricing page, only if you are ready to publish prices.
- Real customer references and case studies (with permission) to replace the numbers that were removed. This is the biggest trust gap.
- More articles around what buyers search for, one a month: NABH and software, cloud versus on-premise, PM-JAY and NHCX claims, HMIS versus EMR versus LIMS. Give each an "internal link and demo button" ending.
- City or state landing pages for local search, but only with real local content.
- `/products/hmis` still duplicates `/hmis` in part. It was kept because several tests and links depend on it; redirecting it to `/hmis` is a small follow-up if you want a single HMIS page.
- Search engine and share image checks after launch (Search Console, a rich-results test for the FAQ data).
